As your projects scale and your team's needs evolve, so should your tools. Bluebeam, a powerful PDF editing and collaboration tool, has long been a staple for construction, engineering, and architecture professionals. However, many users have faced the frustration of being limited by their current subscription plan, particularly when projects demand more advanced features.

In the past, upgrading to a higher-tier plan often meant waiting an entire year until the end of the current subscription term. This delay could significantly impact productivity and project timelines. But no more.

Introducing Bluebeam Plan Switching - Your Gateway to Seamless Upgrades

Bluebeam Plan Switching is a game-changer. This innovative feature effortlessly allows you to upgrade to a higher-tier plan mid-contract. Whether you need advanced markup tools, powerful PDF editing capabilities, or robust collaboration features, Plan Switching ensures you have the right tools at your fingertips whenever needed.

In this blog post, we'll discuss the benefits of Bluebeam Plan Switching, explore how it works, and discuss why it's the perfect solution for professionals who demand flexibility and efficiency.

Bright Side of Plan Switching

Plan Switching makes it easy to ensure your team always has the right Bluebeam subscription they need when needed. Instead of waiting a year for your existing subscription to end, you can switch to whatever upper plan you want. This is what it means to have Bluebeam Plan Switching option now:

1. Upgrade to a Better Plan Anytime

With Plan Switching, there’s no need to wait for your current subscription to expire. If your needs grow, you can immediately switch to an upper plan.

2. Only Pay for the Upgrade

Instead of paying for an entirely new subscription, Plan Switching calculates the cost difference for the remaining months of your contract. This means you’re only paying for what’s new, saving you money while keeping things simple.

3. Stay on Top of Your Project Needs

Whether it’s accessing advanced collaboration and measurement tools or exclusive Batch processing features, Plan Switching ensures your subscription always aligns with your contemporary requirements.

How Does Bluebeam Plan Switching Work?

How Does Bluebeam Plan Switching Work, BrighterGraphics

Bluebeam Plan switching only works with upgrading, not downgrading. It means you can upgrade from:

  • BASICS to CORE
  • BASICS to COMPLETE
  • CORE to Complete

Here’s how Bluebeam’s Plan Switching works:

Step 1 - Calculate the Prorated Cost

Let’s say you’re currently on the Core plan and need to upgrade to the Complete plan for 15 users with 6 months left in your contract. Instead of starting a new subscription, we calculate the cost difference between the two plans for the remaining time. So you only pay for the difference in cost and the remaining duration of your contract.

  • The cost of a Bluebeam Complete subscription is £360 per user per year
  • The prorated cost per user for Bluebeam Complete is 6x360£/12 = £180 for 6 months
  • The cost of a Bluebeam Core subscription is £270 per user per year
  • The prorated cost per user for Core is 6x270£/12 = £135 for 6 months

Step 2 - Calculate the Difference in Cost Per User

The difference is 180£-135£ = £45 per user.

Step 3 - Multiply Per User Cost Difference with the Number of Users

For instance, if you’re upgrading 15 users, the total cost for the Plan Switch (Core to Complete) will be £45 x 15 = £675.

Step 4: Switch Your Plan

Switching your plan is easy. There is no need to reinstall or remove any programmes. We can simply upgrade your existing licence and installation to the next tier with the Plan Switch you want for yourself or your team. Contact Brighter Graphics, and we will move your selected subscription seat(s) to the higher plan.

*Remember, if you have multiple licences you do not need to switch all of them; we can switch as many as one or all users to suit your requirements, and all you have to pay is the difference in cost for the pro rata duration left on your contract.

Switch to Meet Your Project Needs

With Bluebeam Plan Switch available, you can unlock the features you need to deliver outstanding results by just paying for the cost difference between the remaining months and the past months. If you feel the need to upgrade to a higher plan, don’t wait.
